Barcelona concedes defeat, as Bayern prepares for the finals.

Note: This is to relax your mind. Let’s first put forensics aside for now. Thank you!

It takes a gentleman to concede defeat. That is exactly what Barcelona has done:  FC Bayern München- FC Barcelona: Bayern impose their will (4-0). That is the Barcelona FC update on its Facebook page, of 42 million fans. No football club has that number of fan base. It is in situations like these many funs become a burden. Some funs wont concede the defeat as reflected in their comments on the social networks.Below are some reactions (verbatim) to the news on Barcelona’s Facebook page.

Gerrard G HarveyFootball is BIG BUSINESS…Barcelona was getting a fight from long ago. Munich deserved the win but not like that robbery. The correct score is 2-0 and if they didn’t get the 2 unfair goals things may have been different! I’m sick of modern sports…all about money.

Emanuel Kisangait wasnt easy at all….bayern were better than us for so many things, we couldnt even create the chances…even messi is not yet physically fit…i wonder why he started last night. but all in all its a lesson…and its gona b hard at nu camp

Ricky Parajuliwe r barcelona.never give them what barca are capable of.impossible is nothing.we r with full support to barca

The above comments are understandable. This has been a very bad year for Barcelona. Being beaten at the time they needed a win most is very bad indeed. I’ve never seen a match where Messi is reduced to a no threat. It was as if Messi was not in the pitch. He made no contribution at all in the entire 90 minutes of play. Messi needs a good rest. He has played in almost all Barcelona matches. You cannot keep giving great results over and over again. Impossible. And that was revealed yesterday by Bayern.

On 26th February 2013, I wrote “is Barcelona on the verge of a crisis?” click here to read. After losing several times to Real Madrid, it was becoming clear that the once invincible club was tearing apart.

That is what makes football a great game. You cannot enjoy winning consistently.

I think this year is for German Clubs. Bayern, for example, has won all its last 12 matches with big goal margins, scoring an average of five goals per match. That is special.

I expect Bayern to go through to the finals. And they will win the cup this time around, if they face Real Madrid. The story may be different if they face Dortmund.  The latter will bring all it can to the final as it needs this cup more than anyone else.

I hope the final will be Germany vs Spain. That way, the match will be great. Let’s hope Barcelona can turn this result around as it did in order to quality. Watch this space for tonight’s game. I think Dortmund is a difficult opponent. If Ronaldo is contained just as Bayern did to Messi, then Real will be finished.
