There is too much talk about cybersecurity, but less action.Cybercrime isn’t a future threat-it’s here, now, ripping through businesses, banks, and even government systems like a machete through the grass.
And what’s our response?
Awareness workshops? We take people to a hotel, buy them food and bring speakers. After a day or two or three, the workshop ends and we are happy that Cybersecurity has been addressed.
Next?
A few poorly enforced regulations? Let’s not kid ourselves are band-aids on a gushing wound.If we don’t wake up, Uganda or Africa isn’t just going to be a victim; we’ll be a laughingstock-a case study of how not to protect a nation in the digital age.
