The 4th Industrial Revolution (4thIR) has given rise to a new term in the business speak, a Unicorn.

The dictionary defines a Unicorn, thus:
“a mythical animal typically represented as a horse with a single straight horn projecting from its forehead. OR something that is highly desirable but difficult to find or obtain.” an album like this is something of a unicorn”

In the 4th IR lingo, a unicorn is any company whose market capitalization is more than the US $1 billion. Before the Internet and the networked web, companies owned several square meters of farms, but could hardly make the US $1b capitalization.

The unicorn, or universal corporation, leverage technology to succeed. Companies like Facebook, Google, Twitter, Netflix, etc are Unicorns. All this thanks to technology.
How are you leveraging from technology and platform business models instead of a software approach to transform your business?

Think. You need a platform business model today.
